| About the battery.... |
 |
| Can I use a USB charger to charge my AfterShokz? |
| |
Yes, a standard USB phone charger (or a charging hub) will charge the battery with the right amount of current, protecting it from damage. |
| Can I use my iPad or iPhone charger to charge my AfterShokz? |
| |
Yes, you can use almost any USB charger including the iPad, iPhone and iPod chargers. The AfterShokz battery has a built in limiter which means that you can use chargers that provide higher power, like the iPad charger, without damaging the built-in lithium ion battery.

| How long will the battery last in AfterShokz Sport and Mobile models? |
| |
AfterShokz uses lithium ion batteries to power its headphones. At moderate volume levels, you can get up to 15 hours of playback time on one charge. Higher volume levels will reduce playback time. The lithium ion battery can be charged 300 times before it begins to degrade. That means you can expect approximately 4500 hours of playback time before the battery shows any noticeable wear. After the 300 charges, the battery will lose some of its capacity and playback time will be reduced by about 20%. Over time, the battery will require more frequent charges and offer less playback time. |
| Why do AfterShokz Sport and Mobile models have a battery? |
| |
If AfterShokz used the battery in your device (iPod, iPhone, smartphone) to power the headphones, they would drain your device battery very quickly. AfterShokz patent pending bone conduction technology requires a lot of power to deliver the great sound quality you hear, because, instead of moving air, like traditional headphones or earbuds, AfterShokz transducers are sending vibrations through your bones (which are much denser than air). |
